NTPC Talcher Thermal celebrated the 48th Raising Day of NTPC with great enthusiasm. The raising day celebration started with plantation by Shri Goutam Deb, CGM-Talcher Thermal in the presence of Sri R.K.Singh, GM (Proj.), Sri Kousik Mondal, GM (Dismantling), Sri Chander Shekhar, GM (CCD), Sri Deepak, GM (Eng. Services), Sri Rohit Kumar, AGM(HR), HOD’s, Employees, President of Union and Associations, Representatives of Ladies Club, CISF, UPL and Principals’ of DAV School.
After the plantation, the NTPC Flag was unfurled by Sri Goutam Deb, CGM Talcher Thermal followed by recitation go NTPC geet after which a cake-cutting ceremony was organized.
Shri Goutam Deb, CGM-Talcher Thermal emphasized that the company which was founded on 7th November 1975 by India's former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi started its journey from its first thermal power project in 1976 at Shaktinagar has become one of the largest power producing company with installed capacity of 70,254 MW (including 12,595 MW through JVs/Subsidiaries) comprising of 58 NTPC Stations (25 Coal based stations, 7 gas based stations, 1 Hydro station, 1 small hydro, 23 Solar PV and 1 Wind based Station) and 25 Joint Venture stations (8 coal based, 4 gas based, 8 hydro, 1 small hydro 2 Wind and 2 Solar PV)
CGM-Talcher Thermal also congratulated the employees for becoming associated towards NTPC journey in power generation and emphasized upon putting all-round efforts to bring the 2X660 MW plant in a time bound manner which has been awarded to M/s BHEL under EPC contract.
He thanked each and every member for their contribution in organizing various events wherein winners of Hindi Pakhwada were felicitated.
